Research is one of CBEAD’s important functions. Guided by strategic deployment of deepening reform of economic structure, CBEAD focuses on hot issues of reform and development of SOEs, and vigorously implement a platform strategy by attracting scholars and practitioners from government, enterprises, academies and universities.
Institute of China’s SOEs
Institute of China’s SOEs carries out CBEAD research projects. Projects focuses on the areas of China’s SOE reform, China’s executive development path, characteristics of Chinese management practice, etc. Institute of China’s SOE aims to build a think tank of SOEs with a dedicated interest on SOE reform, development and governance.
Approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of PRC, the Postdoctoral Workstation of CBEAD was set up on August 2013. The workstation currently has 10 post doctors. With the goal of building a first-class postdoctoral workstation, CBEAD is actively engaged in research on SOE management theory and practice.

China’s Association for Executive Development
Per the central government’s guidance of Encouraging Education Collaboration and Sharing Training Resource, a total of 51 entities including CBEAD, SASAC training center, a few financial institutions and large SOEs proposed to establish China’s Association for Executive Development (CAED) in 2014. By now, there are 73 members in the association. All members are key SOEs.
